Nursery classes!

We bring street dance classes to Nursery School children through fun and high energy classes designed just for them. Using pop music and popular children's songs, our sessions introduce simple street style moves that help build confidence, coordination, and creativity in a playful, supportive environment. Each class includes age appropriate routines and movement based games, making it a fun and engaging way to keep little ones active while giving them an introduction to the world of dance.

Each dance session lasts around 30 minutes, which we find is the perfect length to keep younger children engaged and active.

A typical class follows this fun and structured format:

  • Warm-Up – We get moving with simple actions like running, jumping, spinning, and leaping, either around the room or we lay down spots.

  • Follow along Song – Using familiar songs such as Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Baby Shark, or Follow the Leader, children copy easy movements to encourage them to participate in the session.

  • Street Dance Routine – Children learn a short routine that includes dancing in their own space, with partners or friends, and using different levels and tempos.

  • Freestyle Time – A class favourite! We bring a gymnastics mat, make a circle, and one by one each child takes a turn in the middle to show off any move they like. It’s a great way to build confidence and use their imaginations.

  • Games – If time allows, we finish with fun, non competitive games like Musical Statues, the Corner Game, or Number Game to end the session with smiles all around.

At the end of class, we’re happy to hand out stickers (subject to nursery policy) and can also offer mini end of term showcases for parents or end of year medals if desired. Our classes are fully flexible and can be tailored to suit your setting, whether you're after structured progression or simply want a joyful, high energy dance experience for the children!
